Magen Achim (“Shield of Brothers”) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of those who embody resilience, courage, and sacrifice in their connection to Israel. Guided by Jewish values of unity and mutual responsibility, we provide essential support to individuals and communities who protect and preserve the spirit of Israel.

We enhance the quality of life, physical and mental health, and social well-being of those who contribute to Israel’s resilience and legacy, ensuring they receive the care and support they need to thrive.

Magen Achim is more than an organization; we are a bridge between those who wish to support Israel and the individuals who carry its legacy forward. Together, we uplift those who protect and preserve the Jewish homeland.

Magen Achim was founded with a simple yet powerful mission: to support those who dedicate their lives to Israel’s resilience and legacy. Established in response to the growing needs of IDF lone soldiers and Holocaust survivors, we provide essential care, dignity, and empowerment to these extraordinary individuals.

Our journey began with a commitment to Jewish values of unity and mutual responsibility—a belief that no one should be left behind, especially those who have given so much for Israel’s survival and identity. Over time, we have expanded our initiatives to address both immediate needs (housing, healthcare, and financial aid) and long-term support (mental well-being, social inclusion, and dignity programs).

Our Impact & Initiatives

Shield of Care – Supporting IDF Lone Soldiers

Lone soldiers serve in the IDF without immediate family in Israel. Many struggle with housing, financial stability, and social isolation during and after their service. We provide:

  • Housing Assistance – Ensuring stable and safe living conditions.
  • Mental & Physical Healthcare – Access to medical care and emotional support.
  • Social Integration & Community Building – Helping soldiers build connections and find post-service opportunities.

✅ Over 1,700 lone soldiers have received assistance since our inception.

Dignity in Resilience – Caring for Holocaust Survivors

Many Holocaust survivors in Israel face financial hardship, isolation, and declining health. Magen Achim is committed to preserving their dignity through:

  • Direct Financial Aid – Covering essentials like food, rent, and utilities.
  • Healthcare & Therapy – Access to medical care, home visits, and emotional support.
  • Community-Based Care – Organizing social programs, holiday celebrations, and companionship initiatives.

✅ We currently support over 740 Holocaust survivors across Israel.
